I have just completed my M2 training at
Durham College in Whitby, Ont. May 24/09. It was one of the best
experiences I have ever had at a training course. The instructors were
fantastic. When you did do something incorrectly they would help you
and advise you without making you nervous. I myself now fully
understand the push/pull theory and why it is so important to look at
where you are going and not look down. Keeping the knees against the
tank at all times. What a difference that makes. I would advise
everyone new and experienced riders to take this course. The training
team I had was outstanding and fun.
Thank You so very much for such an enjoyable experience. See you in 18
months.

Instructors: Bill (William), Bryce,
Garth.
I recently completed the M2 course on May 24th with the above
instructors. going into this course I felt confident as a rider
however I also knew this course would be of benefit based on my
friends comments. As professional and serious as the instructors were
with respect to safety, rider awareness and diligence, they also
ensured we were comfortable with what we were practicing and that we
enjoyed our time at the course. Friday evening left me with an
intensified fear of the dangers of driving a motorcycle which in turn
raised my defensive driving awareness. Saturday and Sundays methods of
teaching both beginner level and high speed manouevres left with a
greater degree of confidence as a new driver! These three gentlemen,
in my eyes were exceptional trainers with a very high degree of
expertise! My confidence as a new driver is now tenfold, knowing how
to better handle my motorcycle in the event of a hazardous or
dangerous situation on the road. I hope to maybe one day be a part of
this team so I too can offer experienced instruction to new riders.
Hats off to these gentlemen and thank you for all your dedication and
hard work to such a great experience and future leisure time!
Sincerely,
Jeff Goheen

I attended the M2 Course in Belleville May
8-10 2009. I have to say Leo, Skip and Bill were the most awesome
people that weekend!!!
Having never touched the handlebars of a bike before, I had myself all
worked up and stressed out that I wasn't going to do well. I really
put the pressure on myself and was concerned about how I'd make it on
Sunday. The instructors had a magic way of articulating and calming
the nerves. If they were frustrated with "the most challenging
student ever" (me) They never showed it but assisted and gave
great tips. I left the course with confidence that I can ride! and
took my own 750 out for the first time last night! If I can do
it..Anyone can! I highly recommend the course. Thanks Leo , Skip and
Bill You are great, patient, and articulate instructors and deserve a
ton of Kudos!!!
THANKS!!!!

Joy,
- I had an eye opening experience and
learned so much to improve my riding skills with confidence.
- Both Chris and Tim are instructors
who really care about rider safety. The layout of the course was
perfect.
- My expectations were exceeded as I
had more to learn and master than originally thought.
- See point 2.
I would be interested in future
refreshers on motorcycle safety and riding programs.
Best Regards,

I just finished the M2 course this weekend
at Algonquin College in Ottawa. I just wanted to take a moment to
thank Brett and his team. I learned so many things that I will
hopefully remember for a life time. There is no doubt that this course
will at some point save my life. And I will surely never forget to do
my shoulder checks (looking for Charlie hanging off the back with all
his might trying to teach me a lesson)
Thanks again, I'll see you on the open road!

it was. The instructors this weekend, (May 10) were totally awesome! I
would recommend this course to everyone.
Thanks and Kudos

For forty years I had dreamed of getting
back on my own powered cycle but family and finances always got there
first. Now that I am retired and sitting on a nest egg I felt it was
time that the dream hatched. But, I promised myself that I would not
jump on my new tourer and start rolling without first taking the
Motorcycle Refresher course. Thank God I did! It was a very humbling
experience but I gained so much more understanding of the realities of
riding on today's roads. My hat's off to John and Brian for the
terrific job they did for all of us in the April 29-30, 2009 session
at Belleville. Not only am I better prepared to sally forth on two
wheels now but I know that the experience has probably also made me a
safer driver in a four wheel vehicle. Thanks to everyone in the
Motorcycle Training programs for their dedication to safer
motorcycling.

May 3rd, 2009 I completed and passed my M1
Exit course in Kingston. I would recommend this course to anyone who
would like to learn to ride a bike. The instructors are wonderful,
they are patient, knowledgeable and make sure you have fun while being
taught. I had a great time while working hard and learning lots.
Keep up the good work Mike, Ray and Bill.

I took the course on the May 1st weekend
of 2009 and I wanted to let you folks know you did an excellent job!
Everything ran so smoothly - so organized. I think we all had a great
time and learned a TON. John, Lisa and Howard were fantastic. They
taught us critical skills while keeping the atmosphere fun. I'll be
back for my M2 Exit! Thanks again and keep up the great work.

Just completed course at Whitby and wanted
to say thanks for putting this course together. Although I have ridden
many years ago and figured I knew it all, your team showed me how
wrong I was. Great group of instructors. Will recommend this course
for all my friends and especially for my daughters. Thanks for your
professionalism and making a rainy weekend lots of fun.

I took the motorcycle course this past
weekend (April 24-26) at Durham College. I want to commend the staff
that were working that weekend. I started the course Friday night and
had never even sat on a motorcycle before. Today, I took my new bike
for a long ride with my husband and it was one of the most enjoyable
experiences of my life. I couldn't have done it without the superb
staff that trained me this past weekend. I have never met such a bunch
of highly motivated, positive and encouraging people. The staff very
always willing to help you if you were having difficulties. They were
always smiling and giving encouraging words when you were feeling like
you were having a tough time. I would highly recommend this course to
anyone that is interested in riding motorcycles. The staff made it so
easy to grasp the knowledge and skill needed to ride a motorcycle. I
want to thank each and every one of the staff working this past
weekend! You should be very proud to have such great people working
for you and representing Durham College!

To Whom It May Concern:
I Vicky Lafee-Bryden attended your course on April 10-12, 2009
I have never ridden a motorcycle before in my life, now that I have I
am out riding a 750 Honda with my husband who really wanted me to
ride, I learned a lot while at this course and I would recommend it
for everyone that wants to ride.
The only thing now is when I go to do my full M another refresher
course would be nice to take, but I was told in class we do not have
any in our area. It would be nice to have one here in Belleville.
And again thank you so much for this class. My instructors Ryan
Southwell, Mike, Skip and Dave they are all very good at what they do.
Thank you
Vicky Lafee-Bryden

We took the M2 course at Loyalist College

Just wanted to let you know how great your
course/instructors are. I just completed my course, this past weekend
(04/19/09) @ Durham College in Whitby. And I have nothing negative to
say. Everyone was great, pleasant and helpful. The instructors kept
everyone's confidence up at all times. It was well worth the money for
the training. Looking forward to completing more courses in the future
with you guys!! :)

I just finished the motorcycle course in
Belleville this weekend....I had a blast! I would recommend this to
anyone who is interested on learning how to ride a bike safely and
properly......my confidence has been raised and I feel that I have
gained good knowledge on how to be safer when riding... The
instructors (Ryan, Tim and Maggie) were amazing, answered all
questions I had, and I didn't feel intimidated or nervous......keep up
the good work. I'm glad I took the time to do this course.
I PASSED!!
Thank You.

I wanted to thank the instructors on the
last M1 course in Bellville, during the Easter long weekend. Ryan was
very patient and knowledgeable, I hope that in the future the M2
course will be held in Belleville. To improve the next course during
the high speed swerve the rider should practice both left and right
prior to the test, and instruction on start and stopping on a hill
should be covered.
Thanks again,
Sean

Bob,
The April 3-5, 2009 M1 Exit course in Whitby taught me a lot about
motorcycling and safety. The weather was not so pleasant but the group
of instructors were awesome. They managed to increase my confidence
level in this 2 1/2 days.
Today I went out for a short spin and it was an amazing experience to
apply all the techniques I mastered from your knowledgeable group of
instructors.
The course fee is money very well spent. Nobody should be out on the
road riding a motorcycle without going through this safety training.
Thanks again!

I finished the course on April 3/4/5,
2009, despite the weather on the Saturday, I had a lot of fun! I
wanted to thank the instructors for their knowledge and patience,
because I know it would not be easy trying to teach a bunch of "newbies"
the skills that are needed to be safe on the road and with many of
them never even ridden a bike before. I highly recommend the course to
anyone who wants to learn to ride a bike! I can now cross off an other
thing from the list of life's "to do".
Thanks again to Brett, Rick Gene and Lisa, you are great! See you on
the road.

Just finished the M2 course in
Peterborough on the weekend of Apr 3, 4and 5.It was my 52 birthday on
Apr 3rd and this course was bought for me as a present for my
birthday. I thought I would be wasting my time on this because I
thought I knew it all! I have rode off and on for years, But I learned
more in those 3 days than in the past 25 years! The weather was
terrible on Sat.,but your fabulous instructors kept it so light
hearted and instructive! All the instructors made all the students
feel right at home! They where more like friends than teachers and
still managed to get all the important facts across to everyone. Brett
with his laugh and Rick with his stories made us laugh but taught us
all good lessons at the same time. All the instructors should be
praised for what they are doing. I am so glad that I went to the
course after all and firmly believe now that if you are going to ride
a motorcycle you need this course no matter what you think you know.
Kuddos to the instructors and to the college and the people that
helped design this course!! You will see me for the M2 finishing
course!, If I could I would have signed up right after Sundays finals.
I will be back and anyone I meet who is going to ride I will make sure
I tell them and highly recommend they take this course!
Again thank you all for this ,I will always remember this weekend and
the instructors and what they showed me and made me learn. I will pas
it on!

Completed course at Belleville On 4/5/09.
Bill Duncan, Skip, Bill & Devon were great. I highly recommend
this course for anyone who plans to ride a motorcycle. I learned more
in 3 days about riding than I had learned in the last 50 years on my
own. Best $419 I ever spent.
Thanks

Good day, I just finished the M2 course
this past weekend of April 3rd 2009 at Whitby. I had a fantastic time
learning what was taught in the course. All the instructors were very
knowledgeable and willing to teach at all skill levels. Even under
cold and damp conditions all instructors had smiles and tried their
best to spread the positive energy. Thanks for putting together such a
well rounded program and team to run it. If we wanted to contact
individual instructors to thank them for their work how can we get
their contact email or info?
Thanks again.

Hi, I just completed the beginners
motorcycle course at Sir Sandford Fleming this weekend and it was
perfect for what I needed. I have never riden a motorcycle before in
my life and yet in a matter of a couple of days I feel very confident
that I can head out on my motorcycle and ride safely with confidence!
Great instructors ran a well organized and presented course.
Thank you,

I just completed the M2 course in Whitby last weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed it. At the course, the instructors told us, that if at
some point after obtaining a full \"M\" license, that we
could submit our names to MotorcycleCourse.com for consideration
to join you as an instructor. I am just emailing yous'e to
express my interest in doing just that when the time comes. A few
years away, but just wanted to do so, before I forget. I will
re-contact as well when the full M is obtained. The course was e
very bit worth the $400.
Thx.

Hi I just completed to course at Durham

I just want to say thank you for the amazing weekend. I don't believe there is a better way to get on a bike with confidence to
know the how to's. If this
message is read by Bob, could you put me on the list of buyers for motorcycles that you may let go after this year. Julie
told us that sometimes some years it happens and I would
like to keep my skills on a low budget.
Thank you and your team, it was a blast whether I do
actually get to ride a motorcycle again or not.

I just wanted to send a brief message to let you know that this was a
wonderful and rewarding experience. To be riding a motorcycle in
just hours, after never riding before is quite an
accomplishment. All the instructors were very pleasant and
funny. I
would highly recommend this course to anyone.

I took the motorcycle training course the weekend of Oct 17,18 and
19th. I wanted to tell you that I learned a great deal and had the
best time of my life. I have ridden a small dirt bike a few times
but not an experienced rider at all. I feel very comfortable
riding now and know that I will be safe when I decide to jit the
road. The instructors were just awesome. They truly made you feel that they had your best interest and
genuinely cared. Howard especially made me feel so comfortable
which boost the confidence for sure. I could go on and on but
for sure I will recommend this to everyone I know. And can not
wait to get on a bike and look forward to coming back for my
final exit test in a few years.

I participated in the M2 course (Sept. 11, 12, 13). The instructors
were Fred, John and Dave were absolutely fabulous. I thoroughly
enjoyed the weekend course, had a lot of fun and came out with
extra confidence. I recommend this course to everyone. Thank you
gentlemen for the ultimate learning experience.

Well I aced your course last weekend Oct3-5th in Ottawa then on
Tuesday I'm Riding down Merivale turn onto Kirkwood and something
catches my right eye I look and look back and there is the Median
in front of me. I'm going to crash! I take the 4 second look and make the decision
to drop my bike into the median so not to go over my handle bars
and into traffic. Due to this quick thinking and not panicking I
am not hurt and neither is my BIKE!!!! Not even a scratch on my
tank I have a few nice bruises but I am alive!!! Thanks for
teaching me so many valuable tips and PEOPLE KEEP YOUR EYES ON YOUR FRIES!!!!
Thanks Guys for taking the time to teach us
newbies how to stay safe and alive without you I would be Dead right now.
So from the
bottom of my heart thanks for giving up your weekend to teach us
how to ride safely.
Best Regards

Hi Sandra:
I did not get a chance to fill out the form for your feedback.
This course is great. I would never have passed this test at the
MTO without going to this course. As a woman, I was a little intimidated being a female rider.
Your 2 instructors reassured me many times "You will do
fine". I seem to have had the largest bike that weekend, which was Oct. 3/4/5/, 2008. It made me a little
nervous. The course gave me insight to be a better and safer rider. I have many "guy" friends who need to get their M and I
have told them, "you need to go to this course or you will never pass this at the MTO".
Thanks again, and of course I passed the test.

Hi, I'd just recently participated in the M2 Exit Course
presented at Durham College in Whitby on the weekend of September
26-28th, 2008, with Randy and Tim and I'd just like to say how
comfortable, enlightening and natural the course was. When talking with the
instructors in the classroom, they had both the recommended classroom instruction (including the MTO's
recommended answers) and yet still had personal anecdotes to back
up the data and safety recommendations, making it much easier to
digest and retain the information. When on the street,
they increased the demand for perfect execution of all maneuvers at a pace which helped maintain required concentration on
the road yet still constantly increased the demand for safe
riding. Overall, it was a great course and the fact that I
was so happy with the original M2 course brought me back to
Whitby when I live closer to other options. Having the same
instructor 2 years later was a surprising, but reassuring
example of how dedicated and how great the Whitby McC.com is. I
don't think there's anything more I could ask for.
Thank-you McC.com!
Rob
- I thoroughly enjoyed the course and the instructors were great.
The two instructors at my retest, John and Cecil were excellent and
extremely patient and gave me the confidence to succeed. Job
well done!

Re : M2 course Sept 26-28 at Sir Sandford Fleming. Head instructor
was John Milner, Chris and Ryan were coaching instructors for the
practical/technical aspect of the course. The course was no less
than excellent in it\'s structure/content and execution. John was
very patient and methodical in his approach with new riders. All three
instructors contributed a great deal toward developing my
confidence in the riding skills and safety on a motorcycle. It
far exceeded my expectations for this course. They were very
professional in their delivery of the exercises making sure that you understood, practiced, and performed the skills without
the feeling of being rushed. I certainly developed more confidence and
respect for motorcycling as the weekend progressed. I will highly
recommend this course to others. I would rate all 3 instructors
as excellent. It was well worth the investment in the cost and
time for this course.
Thank you...ride safe!!

My son Andrew and I would like to thank Rick, Martha and Tom for the
excellent M-2 training course at St. Lawrence College this
weekend of Sept. 19, 20 and 21. It was exceptionally organized and
very challenging. Excellent job and would recommend this course
to anyone that wants to get their motorcycle lic.

A special thank you to the M2 Course Instructors John Milner, Chris
Laundry and Ryan. (Sep 26-28th, 2008 Peterborough)
I really enjoyed the course and learned so much from each one
of you. You exceeded my expectations for this program and each have a
tremendous amount of talent for being a great coaches/instructors to
motorcycle 'newbies' . I definitely believe I'm better prepared to start riding after attending the M2 course. The combination
of video, discussion, 1:1 tips and technical skills training was
excellent!
Special word for Chris: Please make sure you record this
feedback on your PER! :-)
Cheers & thanks again!

I successfully completed the M2 exit course (Sept 26/27). I had taken
the beginner course also at St. Lawrence College in Kingston, and both
times Ron Hare instructed. He made the course
informative, fun and practical - I think overall money well
invested. I suggest perhaps that SLC contact registrants a
few days prior to the course start date, just as a reminder
courtesy service (& include note on what to bring). As well, it may be worthwhile providing students with a contact
phone no. so that one could advise the instructor of either
being late & or a no-show. Again, you get full
kudos for these courses.

Bob:
I just wanted to take this opportunity to provide some feedback on
the Motorcycle course offered at Durham College. I had the pleasure of taking this course on the weekend of
September 26th and I was extremely pleased with the entire experience.
Everything from how the in class sessions and the practical experience
on the bikes intermingled was truly a thing of beauty. This was made even more pleasurable because of the level of
competency displayed by the instructors you have on staff. Everyone
from Anita, Ed, Mike, John, Mike (Chicago), Cecile (spelling may be
off) and I am sure I’ve forgotten other instructors and I do
apologize for that.
I have staff of my own and I am a big believer in feedback and
positive reinforcement but being on the receiving end the entire
weekend was refreshing. You have a great bunch of individuals teaching
us novices the ins and outs of motor cycle riding and I strongly
believe that courses such as these should be mandatory for anyone
thinking of getting out on the road on a motorcycle.
Because of your knowledgeable, patient, informative, and affable
staff I walked away from the experience knowing that when I do get out
there on the road I will be armed with a hell of a lot more
information than I thought I needed and will carry the lessons I
learned over those three wonderful days with me whenever I strap on a
motor cycle.
Please pass along my sincere thanks and gratitude to that bunch of
professionals who taught us some important life saving skills while
keeping it light hearted and fun.
You have a wonderful program going there sir and I only wish that
more people would make the right choice, as I have, and place
themselves in the hands of the individuals conducting the classes.
They will come away far better for the experience as I surely did.
Thank You,
Danny Wedemire

Hi Bob I took the course in Ottawa at Algonquin. It was run by Brett
Burritt, but I thought all the instructors did a great job. Very
encouraging and supportive.
I live in the country and I think when I buy a bike I'll try and
have it delivered and just start practicing on the local roads when there's
no one around and hope for the best. Work my way up to driving
in traffic.
Thanks

Well first of all I would like to thank Ryan, Mike and Howard for the
help they gave me over the past weekend (19-21 Sept 08) @ Loyalist
College. I had never been on a motorcycle at all and I am nearly
45 years of age. I know I must have tested their patience at one
time or another but they always smiled at me and gave praise no
matter the situation. I most two important things I took away
from the course was first, "EYES", they are the most important thing I believe when riding a motorcycle.
Secondly as Howard always said "HAVE FUN". I did that
this weekend for sure. I really and truly believe it had not been
for the patience of the 3 fine instructors this weekend I would
not have learnt what I did. Positive reassurance along with one
on one instruction gained me the opportunity to successfully pass the course and hopefully down the road
become half the rider that Howard, Mike and Ryan are. I hope that
Loyalist offers the M2 Exit Course in the future because I am a
believer and will be attending to be instructed by fine individuals
that I had this past weekend. In closing it would not be right if
I did not offer my thanks to the one that offers the motorcycles
that I enjoyed riding all weekend. I personally thank you.
Signed: A believer,
Rodney Joice,
Oh by the way, tell the
instructors I will use the clutch more especially Ryan. HAHAHA
-
Hey there - I just wanted to say a quick thanks again to all the great
instructors from the M2 course, as well as to everyone involved in
keeping this great program running. Prior to this weekend, I had only
been a motorcycle passenger. Imagining what it would be like to ride
without a helmet bobbing around in front of my view. I was a little
apprehensive, however about how fast I would be able to get used to
the controls, and totally terrified at the prospect of being back in a
school setting after so many years!!
Your great instructors put me at ease quickly. I felt comfortable
in your classes, and the safety tips and guidance were presented in a
way that was easy for a first day beginner like myself to pick up and
understand.
I already have one friend I am sending your way for training next
season, and I plan on coming back myself when it's time for my M2
exit!
Until then..
Thom

Bill, Maggie, Harold and the SLC parking lot were instrumental in my success with the M2 road test, and all around rider confidence.
I'll never forget the uneasy feeling of not really knowing
how or if I could react in a 'situation' while riding this past
summer (constantly praying I wouldn't find out either).......but
those days are behind me now.
The skills and rider mindset taught in this course are
indispensable to a rider's survival. Thank you for making it so
informative, relaxed and fun, without ever overshadowing the role
we play in our own safety as we share the roads on our 'single
track' machines!
D. Kingston SLC, Sept 2008.

I just finished the Sept. 12-14 M1 exit course in Kingston. Rick,
Janine and Mike did an excellent job. As well as being very
educational, I also had a great time. I will recommend it to
everyone I know interested in riding a motorcycle. Keep up the
great work!
Thank you!

I just wanted to shoot a quick note to thank you for a great course.
Having the extra training and education behind me makes me a more
confident and informed rider. My instructor, Ron, made us all feel
comfortable and kept it fun.
Thank you for my full M!

Completed the M2 Safety Course this past weekend Sept 5th, 6th and
7th. The course was excellent and I learned much valuable information
that I know will make me a better, safer rider. The
course instructors Harold Snider, John and Tom were awesome -
and they are to be commended for their hard work and dedication. Special thanks to Harold for the
confidence he instilled in me and for putting up with me. Best
regards and thank you all.

Hey Mr.Weil,
I took your motorcycle course offered at Algonquin last weekend and
I just wanted to e-mail you to tell you how pleased I was with the
course. The instructors, Francois, Rocoo, Charlie, Marco and Norm were
all knowledgeable and very helpful. I was a first-time rider and was
struggling from the very beginning, but the instructors were patient
with me and kept on encouraging me until I eventually was able to ride
very well by the end of the weekend. Admittedly, I am not a pro rider
yet, but I believe I have the basic fundamental skills now to maybe
become one.

Hi Bob, I just took the M1X course at Durham College and I'd
like to take a moment to compliment the excellent instructors who
worked their butts off in the sweltering heat. They moved piles
of cones all weekend long, donned their gear to demonstrate
concepts they were teaching and generally made sure everyone was having a good time and were being
well-coached. Their enthusiasm is contagious. The course itself
is very well designed and introduces skills and controls
gradually, always building on the last exercise. I'd especially
like to mention Tony, the senior statesman among the crew, who
was as quick with a compliment as he was with a correction and always very professional. He had the line of the weekend when we were
talking about the shift lever and making sure the bike was in
neutral. Someone asked why we don't just pull in the clutch
instead of fiddling for neutral. Tony answered: "Because you
haven't been told what a clutch is, yet. Right now, that lever is
just a thingie".
Thanks again, everyone.

I just wanted to write a thank-you to Bryce and Stubby, my instructors
for the M2 Exit course this past weekend in Peterborough. These
two instructors provided a very informative yet fun learning environment which
helped improve my confidence. I found the course to be really
beneficial with regards to being a more cautious driver by being
more aware of my surroundings and possible hazards while driving.
I strongly think this course should be mandatory for anyone who
drives a motorcycle. This course was definitely well worth
the time and money.
Thanks again Stubby and Bryce for such a
positive and beneficial experience!

Myself and Bev hadn't rode a bike for many, many years. We had our
M1's for over two months and hadn't even sat on a bike, so to
say we were rusty bike riders was an understatement. We were
waiting patiently for the Aug 15th weekend to come with great excitement. Right from the
get go all 6 instructors made us feel very comfortable. Within
just a few short hours into the second day I was so relaxed with the bike it felt
like I had been riding for years. Bev and I extremely appreciate the patience,
professionalism and the hard work the instructors provided for the
weekend. So thank you to Ron, Rick, Becky, John, Tony and Trevor
for a truly enjoyable and fun weekend; it\'s something well always remember. Kudos to
you all for an amazing job well done.
Thanks again.

Hi there, I just completed the course in Ottawa yesterday and was very
pleased with what I learned. I considered myself an experienced rider
but I really just had a bunch of bad habits that's needed to be
broken. I was not only pleased with what I learned, but was amazed
at how well they taught the newbies to ride.It was real neat to
see people gaining the confidence that is needed to operate a
motorcycle properly, not to mention the the self esteem it built
up in these students. I believe if every rider took the course the
roads would be a lot safer for every rider. So, Brett, Norm, Mike &
Warner, Great
job guys, you truly are professionals would strongly recommend this course to
anyone.
Thanks again guys,
Brad Desjardine (Aug,15,16&17 @ Ottawa)

I just wanted to send a note in and say thank-you to all the
instructors from the course this past weekend in Ottawa (Brett,
Norm, Wern, Mike). These guys were phenomenal at breaking
everything down and helping each of learn in the most efficient
way. Not only that, but they were incredibly supportive, patient,
and just a little bit funny. Looking back, I can't believe how
amazing this course was to take some of us who had never been on a
bike before, and in two days getting us riding around, shifting up and
down - but most important, maneuvering the bike with confidence and safety. Thank you so much for this course.
It's done nothing but inspired me to make sure that I keep practicing and become the
safest rider I possible can be.
Cheers

I just attended the M2 course this past weekend August 15th to 17th
and I have to say that it was such an amazing weekend!!! Bill, Devin and Ryan are fantastic at what they do!! They are
very patient and made the weekend enjoyable for everyone that attended.
I'm glad that I was able to take my M2 in Belleville and hope
that you bring the M2 exit course to Belleville soon!!
Once again my hats off to Bill, Devin and Ryan great job
guys!!!
Cheers,
Patty Parmentier, (I won't forget to ride the clutch
ever again!!) Brighton, Ontario

I completed the M2 Exit course in Kingston on August 17th and I am extremely pleased with the instruction I received. Thanks Mike for
getting those details burned into my brain. I was initially hesitant
about riding on the 401 but the training and repeated exposure gave me the
confidence to enjoy my bike at speed knowing I can ride safely.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I just did my re-test, yes
that's right I failed the first time, mostly due to a serious case of
testitis as Ryan diagnosed tee hee, but thanks to Ryan and Devin I had an
excellent second chance, and flew through the test the second time. I wanted
to say thank you so very much for all the positive encouragement and
absolutely amazing instructors! I think the course is definitely essential for
new riders and I\'m glad the instructors have fun teaching it and are
willing to give extra help when needed :)
Thanks again to Ryan, Ed,
John and Devin! I\'m looking forward to getting a few years under my belt
and applying for instructor status myself! cheers!

Just finished with my M2 course and its the best thing I have ever
done...should have done it years ago ... thanks to the whole team in
Whitby got over my terrible fear of wet weather riding...
Thank you so
much...see you for the M exit course.

I'd been talking about learning to ride a motorcycle for many years
and finally decided that this was the year. I just took the
course this past weekend in Ottawa and I wanted to write in and
say how fantastic these instructors were (John H., Marco, Werner,
Victor, and Charlie). These guys are obviously very knowledgeable
about motorcycling but, equally important, they have the ability
to clearly and concisely relay that knowledge. They were
extremely patient, always helpful and encouraging, and you can
clearly tell that they want you to succeed - they are not simply
putting their time in. Believing that someone wants you to do
well is huge when you are trying to learn something that you have
never done. They consistently reinforced the principles through
their observation of the students and improving was a matter of
applying what they told you. The other factor in improving our
skills throughout the course was the confidence that they
instilled in us from the very beginning. John made us believe that we
could perform the exercises and perform them well and, as they say,
attitude is everything (or at least a lot). These guys were amazing, I
don't know what else I can say about them. Thank you all!!!
Regarding the course itself, it is perfectly structured in that
each exercise builds upon the previous one and the skill level
required to perform each exercise is increased appropriately i.e.
in a linear manner. The course was laid out in a such a way that
I literally went from never having been on a motorcycle to riding
one within a couple of hours - all the while barely even
realizing the progression I was making because the instructors
and the structure of the course itself make it seem effortless.
One of the things that amazed me the most was that the principles of
riding simply "work". If you do what the principles
state, the mechanics follow and you will be successful! If I
could make only one suggestion for the course, it might be to
spend a little more time on the mechanics of shifting gears (coming
from a background with automatic transmissions only). Having said that, this is a safety course with a huge amount of
material to cover so if I had to make a choice between spending more time on
safety aspects or more generic topics such as shifting, I would
do the same and place more emphasis on safety. I will
absolutely recommend this course to anyone I come across who is thinking of getting into motorcycling; it should practically be
mandatory.
I also believe that it will make be a better automobile driver
in the long run as I now see everything from a motorcyclist's eyes which
means that I drive in a more defensive (and safer) manner.
Regards,
Steve

Hello, I just finished the course in Belleville on the 8-10 Aug. I
just want to say Bryan, Ryan and Mike did a great job. I also
recommend getting the M2 exit test course in Belleville as well.
One suggestion I had was to have students drive up and down
through the gears in a straight line. I know each campus is different and may or may not have
an area to do that, but I found a few people had difficulties with
that and it could be beneficial. Thanks for the great course and
making motorcycling more safe.

Hi Bob,
Just wanted to let you know that the team you have out in Ottawa is
fantastic! Brett, Howard, Marco, Judith and George really know their
stuff. Brett was the team leader and he runs a tight ship! No unsafe
behaviour allowed! Right from the Friday night classroom theory to the
pushing/riding the bikes around he was knowledgeable and easy to
approach/talk to. I had questions and did not feel intimidated to ask
them. He made it clear he was there to help us learn and he did that
with some humour and lots of knowledge. I am a 50 year old female,
have ridden dirt bikes in the past, but never a street bike and I felt
great "riding" my Kawasaki 125 eliminator! The instructors
kept encouraging and motivating the class to do the tasks they were
asking. When a few people were really struggling, they took them to
the other parking lot to give them one/one attention and it was
fantastic to see that. I felt confident at the end of the weekend to
try the test/evaluation and our class really got along well. Everyone
cheered everyone on and we all got through the test. People are now
emailing each other and getting together for rides when we all get
bikes! It's incredible! Anyways, Bob, I just wanted to tell you that I
really enjoyed the course and both my daughters took the course with
me as well, and also enjoyed it immensely. Please pass on my comments
to your team, I want them to know I appreciate their methods, humor
and confidence in me. Kudos! Special thanks to Howard who was so
patient with me and all my questions and my timing was off, he kept
encouraging me to "do it again, I know you can do it" and I
did it!

I just completed the M2 course. It was a great learning experience. I
feel that I have learned how to handle a motorcycle so much
better. The course gives you experience in motorcycle maneuvers that could save
your life. All of the instructors were very friendly, helpful and
professional.
Thanks for a great riding experience!

Hi,
I want to say what a great course the M2 is. This was my first time on
a motorcycle and it was a real eye opener. I have a new respect for
riders and for the road. The instructors were excellent and I would
like to thank them for their patience. Thanks to Brett, Charlie, Gwen,
Mike 1, Mike 2 and Warner. You guys were super! My only suggestion to
the course would be that they put a bathroom out on the course. It is
too far away. A port-a-potty would be great!!
Thanks again,
Pat

I just finished the course in Belleville,
course dates July 18,19, 20th. The instructors were very
knowledgeable and experienced. They worked well to make the course fun
and relaxed which made it easier to perform and learn. I felt safe
knowing I was learning from people with real experience instead of an
instructor trained to instruct with no experience riding. Please thank
them again for me, give them a raise, and pass my comments on to the
central office.

I just wanted to let you know what a
terrific experience I had attending your 3 day M2 course over this
past weekend. On Friday night I arrived a little reluctantly and
without any riding experience. By Sunday your fantastic instructors
(Chris, Cecil, Tim, Ron, Matt, Ed, Tony and Julie) had given me the
knowledge, skill and confidence I need to ride a motorcycle safely.
I've been involved in adult learning in various capacities for the
past 25 years and have rarely found a collection of trainers as
dedicated and professional as your instructors. Knowledgeable,
encouraging, supportive and constructively critical when they needed
to be. I really felt they were primarily interested in my success. It
made all the difference in the world. I will not hesitate to sing the
praises of your course to all of my friends. This was certainly one of
the most rewarding and personally transforming learning experiences I
can recall. Kudos to you, your instructors and a great program of
instruction.
Thanks,

Just completed the M2 Course this past
weekend (July 18-20, 2008). My instructors were Ryan, Martha and Ken.
Going into the course I was extremely nervous and scared as one of my
fears is being on a motorcycle so I anticipated the worse. For me
personally, the course was emotionally and somewhat physically
demanding (weather related). On the Saturday we had temperatures of
around 30-32 degrees C with high humidity and on Sunday the opposite -
it rained. However, having said all that, I couldn't have asked for
better teachers. They made those two days go by smoothly. All three
instructors were exceptional. Nobody was centered out and I felt like
I was in one big family. We all had individual encouragement and pats
on the back - "you're doing a great job". Well, now I can't
wait to go out and ride. My fears are gone and can't wait for the
chance to meet a rider coming the other way to give him/her that hand
wave.
Thanks again Ryan, Martha and Ken.

I took the M1X course today (Sunday July
20) at Durham College. I enjoyed every moment of it, learned many new
techniques of defensive/safe Motorcycle Riding. A Must Take Course for
every motorcycle rider.
Thank You!

I took the Durham
College course July 7-10, 2008, and it was an excellent experience.
Ron Winacott and his team were professional, experienced and great
teachers. Their approach and attitude built my confidence and allowed
me to take full advantage of the skills training. I'm a new rider in
my late 40's, and I can't imaging taking this up without training like
this.
Keep up the excellent work!

Hi Bob,
I must say the M2 training course I took this past weekend was
fabulous!! It should be mandatory for any new or experienced rider,
the information was invaluable. The trainers, Brian, Bryce and John
were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, their coaching and guidance
was second to none.
Without them some of the participants would not have done as well as
they did, myself included. They are great coaches and were very
positive when working with us, this is what gave us the confidence
needed to do what we were told, even though it didn't make sense
sometimes, like push steering. I can only say that I appreciate the
time they spent with all of us and it will make for better and safer
riders as a result.
Thanks Guys,
John Longley

Excellent
instructors. They made it the best course that I have taken in my
life. And I have taken a lot.
I’ll recommend it to everyone. Job well done.
Thank you.

- We just completed the "Gearing
Up" course at Loyalist in Belleville and wanted to thank the
instructors (John, Dave & Bill) for not only teaching us to ride
safely, but to make it fun as well. One-on-one help when needed made
it easier for me as I had no experience like my husband. We both
learned a lot in a short time and realized that our instructors were
really interested in us learning to ride well which meant safely. We
left the course with a different attitude than when we came - riding a
motorcycle takes concentration and technique which only comes with
practice. Thanks for the great weekend which will make our
motorcycling safe and enjoyable over the many years to come. It is our
intention to take the M2 Exit Course when that time comes as we are
sure there will be more things we can improve upon and learn to
continue to ride safe. Great Course - Great Instructors -
Thanks Fellas.

- Hi..
I just wanted to say "thank you", again. I took the
course this past weekend. I really had no clue what I was getting
into, (never ridden, over forty, husbands thing). The instructors were
amazing, and helpful, (picking me up off the ground, ...again),
I learned so much. I know I'm ready for a big empty parking lot, and a
small bike.. For anyone who has never touched a bike , this is
the only way to learn!
Thank you again..

- I completed the M2 course this past
Sunday (July 6, 2008). Thanks to the fabulous instructors, Rick
MacFarlane, George Best, and last - but certainly not least - Mike
Gleeson. You can't be beat for instructors. I thoroughly enjoyed the
weekend and am looking forward to the purchase of my new motorcycle
(2009 Harley Sportster). Thanks guys, for your patience and
expertise in training.
My only suggestion would be that a port-a-potty be placed on the
parking
lot. (It\'s a long walk thru the college to the ladies washroom.)
I would highly recommend this course to anyone thinking of riding!
I look forward to signing up for the M2 exit course in the future.
Thanks again!

- Hi Bob: I took the course the weekend of
June 13-15. All of the instructors were great, but in particular, John
Fox, 'the other John' and Brian were all extremely knowledgeable,
patient and supportive. Being a 5'3 petite woman, it was a bit of a
challenge for me, but they helped me through it. I managed to pass
with a perfect score so that says a lot about them as instructors.

- Hello,
I just completed my M1 exit course at Sir Sandford Fleming June
20-22. I just wanted to say that this course has completely changed my
riding experience! It's unbelievable how much more confidence I have
in my abilities to ride! I want to thank Devin, Bill, and Ray for
their fantastic training, great tips, understanding, and most of all
the good laughs! Well worth the money and in my opinion should be made
mandatory! I will for certainly be back for my M2 exit course!
Happy and safe riding!

- Well I just took the course this week
end at Durham College and I had a blast.... the whole team was great
fun and jokes and with all that I learned to ride... before Saturday
morning I had never been on a bike and now I'm confident enough to
start riding on the road lol special thanks to Julie who spent her
anniversary week end with us instead of her hubby and Becky for being
there even though her dad is not well.....thanks a million guys

- Hi, I took the M2course on the weekend
(June13-15) at Durham College in Whitby. The course and instructors
were AWESOME, well run and organized, bikes in good condition.
A great thank you to the staff on the weekend.

- This past weekend I attended the M2
course at St. Lawrence College. What a
great experience. Maggie, Ron and John are top of the line
instructors. It was a lot of fun. My daughter Alicia and our best
friend Sheri also took the course. We all say the same thing...it was
worth every penny. Not only did we gain confidence and knowledge from
this course we also met some new friends, whom we will be riding with
in the very near future. I would recommend this course to anyone
thinking about getting their motorcycle license.
Our whole class passed thanks to the expertise of our instructors.
Congrats to all those in my class.
Sue
- Randy and Tim are great guys, who seem
to enjoy what they are doing. They are both very helpful and
informative on the Do's and Don'ts of motorcycle riding."
F. Homen
- I just completed the course June 15/08.
The entire crew were fabulous. I had a great time and they made me
feel like I can actually go home and drive the bike that sits in my
garage with confidence. I learned valuable skills to help make riding
safe and had a blast at the same time. John Fox was particularly
helpful and entertaining but the entire team was great. The part I
liked was they never gave up on the weakest of students. The people I
was sure would fail based on the early performances surprised
everybody by passing with flying colors by the end of the weekend.
This course should be mandatory for all riders getting the M2. It was
well worth the cost!
Thanks people...for a job well done!

- I just completed my M1X this past
weekend at the Durham College location! WOW! The course structure is
absolutely fabulous and teaches the students so much and gives them so
much confidence! The instructors were AWESOME! (Thanks to Brian, John

- I was a part of the course from June 9th
to 12th and Ryan, Bryan, and Mike were my trainers. They were the most
supportive and fun people I have ever met and they are the biggest
reason I passed the course. They got me to relax and taught me a
lot.
Thanks a million

- Hi,
Just wanted to that a team of our great M2 course instructors (Bill,
Brian and John). For a beginner like me this was a fantastic learning
experience. Now I CAN ride a bike.

Mike made it fun and easy to learn. Thanks a lot and hope to see
you again for the m2 exit course.

Peterborough. Bryce John and Ray. Thanks for your patience and
encouragement. Taking the M2 was a blast. You guys really made it.
See Ya
Tom
- Hi,
I took the M2 course at Durham College May 31 - June 1. I had only
heard good things about the course and it was all true. From the
moment I walked in the room I was made to feel comfortable and
confident. I had never ridden a bike - always a passenger. The concept
of taking baby steps so you never move on until you've mastered the
previous skill works really well. I enjoyed all of the instructors and
all gave good solid direction and advice -- Ron, Toni, Howard, Anita
and John were amazing -- I spent the majority of my time with them.
Their sense of humour made the weekend!
The course was challenging but I enjoyed every minute of it -- I was
exhausted on Sat -- the heat really took a lot of your energy but the
instructors had prepared us so I had brought lots of water, powerade,
snacks and a good lunch so I was fine.
It should be mandatory for everyone to take this course prior to ever
driving a bike.
Fantastic course and great customer service.
Thank you! Keep up your award winning approach!|
Nancy
- Good afternoon,
Just a quick note to let you know how impressed I am with the M2
course I complete on June 5th.
This course was informative and fun, only because the instructors
insisted on it being that way! I enjoyed the 4 nights spent with them
despite the heat, rain and the fact that I don't do well with little
sleep!
Mike, Rick & Maggie... amazing people! Professional, caring and
knowledgeable... not to mention the great sense of humour they all
possess!
Sincerely,
Tammie Kerr
- Bob,
Let me start by giving you a virtual applaud for choosing the right
staff to teach the course.
I just completed the course in Whitby this last weekend (June 6-8,
2008) and had a BLAST doing it. The instructors are well apt to teach
individuals with different learning curves. I must say that their
teaching methodology fits well with many adults.
Every instructor had their own personality and had GREAT interpersonal
skills. I think it is well worth mentioning their names to you: Gary,
Mike (Elvis), Anita, Cicel, and the rest of them (please forgive my
lack of memory for not remembering all of their names).
I would highly recommend this course to anyone. I had been riding for
a while; however my M2 expired and thus had to start again. This meant
going through the absolute basics. BUT BUT BUT, I learnt more in the
basics than I did while actually riding.
To the staff members in Whitby, I thank you for all the time and
effort you put forth for making the weekend such a success. THANK
YOU!!!!
Bob, I have full confidence that you will share this email to them.
Thank you!
Fondest Regards,
Darpan Pushkarna
- I have just taken and PASSED the M1 to
M2 course and it was perhaps the best course I have taken at Algonquin
College. The team of 5 (Normand, Brian, Brett, Tom and Mike) were
beyond belief. Never have I felt such encouragement and comradery
inspired by instructors. They more than just knew their stuff but were
passionate about it as well. I would love to take the course many
times over with such instructors to continually hone my driving skills
as I feel they have more knowledge to share than time allowed. Once
again a great weekend with even better instructors!
Nicholas in Ottawa
- Hello Bob
I would like to take this opportunity to let you know this past
weekend I took your M2 course at the Durham location. EXCELLENT course
and absolutely EXCELLENT instructors. I must admit that I generally
really do not like taking courses because more times than not they are
very boring and seem to be a waste of money. However the M2 course was
fantastic. I am 28 years old and prior to the course had only ridden a
bike once. I now am confident in my abilities to safely ride. Please
pass on my compliment to your instructors (Ron, Howard, John, Julie,
Chris, Annette, Tony……………and I suppose even Mike (what a
riot that guy is). The instructors make the course fun and exciting.
Thank You
Adam De Biasio
- Hi Bob,
Just wanted to drop a quick note about the your course. I participated
in the Durham College Whitby location this past weekend, and it was
very well done. Ron, John, Howard, Anita, Julie, Tony, Mike and Chris
all did a great job at making people (myself included) comfortable,
and made the learning process fun. My only "beef" if I had
to have one, was that I found the class size a little on the large
size It was hard to get a feel for if I was doing a good job because
the instructors had to spread themselves out. I went by the idea that
if they weren't speaking to me, I must be doing ok. Other than that,
good job.
Mike Hayward
- Hello my name is Lorne Kerr, I attended
the motorcycle course on the 18 April 08 in Kingston. First I am a 50
year old man who finally decided to live a dream i.e. get my bike
license.
The instructors for this course were
Alex, Judith, Maggie, Tom and Ron was there late in the afternoon on
the Sunday. I found the course challenging more so than I thought it
would be. I found the instructors were patient and calm, no matter
what the situation they were there for us. All aspects of the course
were taught logically and one exercise built upon another. The rule of
the only dumb question is the one not asked applied which greatly
helped students such as myself who soon found out they had lots of
questions but were sometimes hesitant to ask. This course was no walk
in the park it was both mentally and physically challenging. It was
the crucial first stepping stone in becoming not only a good rider,
but a safe rider as well. All that is required now is experience and
logging a lot of hours on the bike. Now I would like to take a moment
to compliment each of the staff members who presented and trained us
in the course.
Alex (in charge of the course) Alex was
professional, knowledgeable instructor who stressed the safety aspects
of the course throughout the course. He was logical, organized, and
skilful. He also stressed that the course was to be enjoyable and fun
without losing sight of the fact that learning to ride is a serious
and demanding endeavour. His high level of energy as the head
instructor only added to the fun and enjoyment of the course, his
encouragement and helpful input helped me to succeed in this course.
Maggie (assisted) Maggie is a very
serious and knowledgeable rider who did demos for us during the
course. I found her to be absolutely excellent in this area when she
was demonstrating a particular exercise she did it flawlessly
especially demonstrating eyes up. She was clear, concise, who would
correct a student when correcting was necessary but was quick to
praise a student who was doing well. Her tips and teaching abilities
coupled with her professional attitude did help to make both the
course and learning environment enjoyable and fun.
Judith (assisted) What can I say about
Judith, she was an astounding instructor whose enthusiasm and drive
made this course a huge success for me. Her encouragement and drive
helped all students better understand when they were doing something
right and also helped immensely with her tips on how to correct a
problem. Her enthusiasm and love of motor cycling was evident from the
start. She was both a professional and skilful instructor who also
added to enjoyment of the course and whose dynamic personality,
enthusiasm and love of the sport added to a winning team. (both staff
and students)
Tom (assisted) Tom also did demos for
us and provided critique and encouragement throughout the course. As
was with the rest of the staff team he was absolutely professional,
knowledgeable who was able to provide feed back in a constructive
manner not a condemning manner which helped to bolster confidence. You
couldn't help but to feel and get the impression that he was
thoroughly enjoying teaching the class and the students which also
helped to build confidence.
The only suggestion I have and I truly
believe would be of great benefit would be to have everyone get on
their bikes and to follow an instructor around the training area so
that they are warmed up and ready to get the most out of the lessons.
I believe this should be done first thing in the morning and after any
sort of lengthy break i.e.: lunch. I found that if I was warmed up
first I could ride better and get more out of the training. Simply
learning each exercise as mentioned was made more difficult not being
warmed up first this would have completed the confidence building
experience. I realize at the same time that there is a lot of material
to cover in a short period of time. Perhaps if the theory portion
could be completed prior to the course such as a study at home package
that would free up some extra time. However, I don't know if this
would even be possible just putting forth an idea.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my
experience on the M2 course, as mentioned above it was setup in a
logical manner with each new exercise building on the previous one. I
cannot give enough praise to the instructing staff on how they
conducted themselves and the manner in which they instructed on the
course, one word I suppose simply covers it all (PROFESSIONAL).
Thanks once again for opportunity and
experience it was great!
Ride to live and live to Ride
Lorne
- Just wanted to drop you a line to officially thank the instructors of the Motorcycle Safety M2 Exit course that I took this past weekend in Kingston at St Lawrence College. Ron, Ryan, Maggie and Werner were the course instructors, and without exception they were all great!!! I'm a "middle aged" woman who is admittedly not the bravest in the world, but thanks to the course content, and the encouragement and pointers from the instructors, I was able to pass the course and now feel a sense of confidence in my ability to ride a bike!!!
Thanks Ron, your extensive experience and knowledge were more than helpful!
Thanks Ryan - your obvious love of the sport, knowledge and flexibility in teaching style really helped a lot to encourage students to overcome problems that they were experiencing.
Thanks Maggie - your calmness and reassurance was contagious which really helps when a student is getting frazzled!
Thanks Werner your encouragement and "good eye" to catch the little details were both equally helpful!
In all, I really thank the organizers of this course. It was well run, flowed smoothly (with the exception of the faulty computer) and I cannot imagine getting into riding without the course! I will be back when it is time to take the M Exit course and test.
My only suggestions would be:
1) a port-a-potty close to the course:)
2) it would be awesome to be able to take "refresher type" courses on our own bikes that aren't linked to a ministry test, but which would help riders to become better riders on their own (possibly new) bikes.
Thanks again
Ginny (Virginia) Kerr
- The course was absolutely fantastic. The
progression of the course from start to finish was perfect, as was the
repetition of the exercises. Your instructors are phenomenal... I have
never met such a great (and good looking) bunch of people. They were
positive, provided constructive criticism, and possessed exceptional
people skills. If you were responsible for their "Customer
Service" training, you should definitely consider providing
courses to others because your instructors were top notch.
Having never been on a motorcycle
(other than as a passenger), understandably, I was quite apprehensive
and nervous. However, the instructors provided a safe and relaxed
environment that seemed to ease any reservations I had about riding
the motorcycle. I was also quite impressed with their diplomacy and
tact when dealing with those students who may have encountered
"issues" with their bikes (ie: staying on them), they dealt
with them professionally and discretely so as not to bring unwanted
attention.
I could go on forever...it was just
such a wonderful experience and your instructors left me in awe. I'll
be singing the courses praises for years to come!!!
Thank you so much for allowing me to
participate.
Thanks,
Marisa Cassar
- Hi,
I attended the M2 course on April 11-13 at Loyalist College. Ryan, Leo
and Devin were awesome!!
It would be a great advantage to have
the M2 Exit course at Loyalist College, as well. Please consider
adding this venue to your curriculum in the future.
Linda Widdifield
- On April 4, 5 & 6 I was enrolled in
the first M2 course of this season at Loyalist College. I must admit I
was very nervous. I had never ridden a motorcycle before and had
already purchased an 883 Harley Roadster Low Rider so I was determined
to pass the course (and I did!!) Determination alone was not enough.
What made the difference was the instructors. Bill, Devin, Mike and
John were amazing. It was their expertise and encouragement that kept
me going. I don't know how they knew when I was only applying the
front brake or holding in the clutch unnecessarily but they did. There
were 15 of us in the class and they did not miss a thing but never did
they make me feel discouraged. There was always words of encouragement
and praise. Safety was always put first but having fun was a must. I
am so pleased to be able to celebrate 60 on a Harley. I look forward
to eventually getting my M license and hope by then that course will
be offered at Loyalist. If those instructors can get me through the M2
program, I am sure they can get me to my M.
With thanks,
Karen White
- To Bob
Just finished the course today. It was
great. Made me aware of so many things about riding a motorcycle I did
not know. Had never been on one until yesterday, and will be picking
up one I bought on April 15.
I feel that it would be impossible to
put a value on this course. I am sure that when I start to ride my new
cycle I will be much safer and so will the motorcycle because of what
I have learned.
Many thanks to Ron, Brett and George,
as their teaching was great. They were very supportive and helpful.
You would have to look long and hard to
find any better instructors.
On the negative side, a much faster
computer in the classroom would be a real asset, as would a porta
potty outside.
Thanks for your teaching and patience,
Alf Boyce
- Hi there!
Okay...I'm blonde, 45, female, no experience...and I passed!
The instructors were fantastic! Great personalities, constant
encouraging feedback, seamless progressions.
Please pass along my thanks and tell them to look out for the middle
aged broad on the black/copper Harley Lowrider (I bought it today).
Also, that we students do listen and heed their advice...I got the
full face helmet, as per their recommendation.
I'll be sure to recommend the course.
Take care,
Jane Pierson (Barbara)
- Just completed M2 Course in Whitby this
last weekend, great course great instructors.
I had not ridden a bike in almost 20 yrs, and the course and
instructors made me feel very comfortable.
I will recommend this course to others, as it was recommended to me.
Keep up the good work.

- THIS IS ACTUALLY A NOTE FOR MR. BOB WEIL
CONCERNING THE THREE TRAINERS WE HAD THIS PAST WEEKEND (OCT 5-7) IN
PETERBOROUGH. I REALLY HAD NO EXPECTATIONS GOING INTO THE WEEKEND
OTHER THAN "HOW ARE THESE PEOPLE GOING TO TRAIN ME TO RIDE A
MOTORCYCLE". I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT I AM SO VERY IMPRESSED
WITH THESE PEOPLE; JOHN FOX, ANITA MEIHE AND BECKY (MISSED HER LAST
NAME). I THINK THAT IF THIS IS THE QUALITY OF INDIVIDUAL I'M GOING TO
COME IN CONTACT WITH WHEN I GET A BIKE AND RIDE NEXT YEAR....IT WILL
BE A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE.
AGAIN........THANKS VERY MUCH FOR
HELPING ME WITH MY "MID-LIFE CRISIS".
John Whalen
- Mr. Bob Weil;
You probably don’t know me, so I’ll introduce myself in a sentence (or two). I am turning fifty years old this year. I have been involved in the transportation industry (as a profession) for 32 years. Starting in the military at seventeen years old, I attended the RMC (Kingston) for two years, specializing in the transportation of volatile commodity (ka-boom stuff). Following my five year tenure with the RCN, I furthered my education in the field with three years of transportation physics, and transport/trip maintenance and management. I worked for various truck-load carriers for fourteen more years, including 12 ½ years of instructing in class, on the skid course (SNC University, Green Bay, Wi.), and in the pacific area mountains. In 1992, I accepted employment with the Toronto Transit Commission. I am currently a Divisional Instructor at Birchmount Division of the TTC. I also hold twenty some trophies for champion bus competition driving across Canada. (forty eighth in North America). Four consecutive years as Grand Champion.
In August of this year (2007), I completed the “Gearing Up” course at Durham College’s Whitby Campus, a three day course focusing on the safe operation of a motorcycle. Now comes the part where I have to put into words (within reasonable parameters) the paramount impact this course has had on me and the attitude I embrace toward motorcycling, and as importantly, motorcyclists as a whole. Bob, I usually have no trouble with words, or communicating with others. There is a book of compliments waiting to be written, and there isn’t the space, or the time to say it all.
ALL MOTORCYCLISTS WILL COME OUT ON TOP OF IT ALL IF THEY APPLY THEMSELVES TO YOUR COURSE! BAR NONE! I have been practicing and applying the theories, and techniques your instructors shared with me, since the day I passed (with 100%). Braggart! YEP! Mike “Chicago”, Ron (can’t remember his last name, sorry. Matt, shit the list goes to about 10 to 15 people who have put it all together for me. I have been so fortunate to have been blessed with instructors who were/are totally interested in MY SUCCESS, and MY SAFETY, and MY ENJOYMENT, while riding my motorcycle. There aren’t enough thanks on this planet to express my appreciation for the devotion these people have applied, to ensure that everyone they teach succeeds. So far, I am living testimony to the success that can be achieved through trusting the masters. It was fun being a trainee again. It was a blast when I made a goof-up, and the instructors were right there (“suck it up buttercup, AND DO IT AGAIN TIL YOU FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT!”) Laughing with each other, feeling their pain, helping each other as students, it was all there, and you guys made it happen. I am certain that I am not the only person who has felt the positive impact of your course and the instructors, and the designers of the program, who we as students have or may never meet. Many of us just take it for granted (they teach we learn, now get me out of here I’ve got stuff to do). Many just do not have the time in their lives to say thank you, although I don’t understand why not.
You and all the instructors did more than teach. It went way deeper than that. I’ve enhanced my entire driving lifestyle with what I’ve learned in the course. Something of that importance cannot be left without gratitude being expressed.
Thanks to you, Bob, and every instructor, in every city, for spending their valuable time helping people to learn and improve our skills. EVERYTHING YOU FOLKS TAUGHT ME IS AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE PRACTICED EVERY TIME I GET ON MY BIKE. (incidentally; 1982 Honda Goldwing GL1100 Interstate, now 2/3 restored, custom). My rides are amazing, and relaxing, and I owe it to you and the Gearing Up Instructors.
My Greatest Respect, and Appreciation is yours.
Until The Advanced Motorcycle Course, I remain
Yours sincerely,
Stephen G. Burley
- I took my M2 course this weekend at Durham College (Whitby). The course was excellent.
Although I have ridden dirt bikes for many years, it was very helpful translating that into a street-like experience.
I don't know why anyone would want to strap on a helmet and step on a bike without this course!

- I've just finished the M2 course (Sept. 28 - 30) at Durham College -Whitby Campus.
My instructors were Bernie, Chris, Andy, John, Mike, Sue, and Brett.
I learned a lot in a short period of time. All my gratitude to Bernie, Chris, Andy, John, Mike, Sue, and Brett who are great instructors. The instructions were very clear and concise. I also had a lot of fun!
Thank you very much!
Caroline
- My sister and I took the M2 course Sept
21-23 , we were so glad we took it. What a great learning experience.
The instructors were excellent, a pleasure to meet and learn from.
Bryce ,Dave and Tim. Would not hesitate to tell my friends. Bryce
really knows his stuff, and made the classroom hours go by quick. As
for Tim a little quiet, but also knows his stuff and for Dave he took
the edge off with a little bit of humour, which we all needed.
So thanks to all the instructors for a great job done.

- To whom it may concern:
Just a quick email to say Thank you to the Great Instructors I had the
pleasure of dealing with!
I took the introductory course this
past weekend (September 22nd & 23rd) at the Whitby location. Ron
was the primary instructor, accompanied by Mike, Tony, Cecil, Mark,
and a few others. These gentlemen were very professional, yet made the
weekend very enjoyable! For a novice rider, I learned a ton!
Thank for the great experience! I will
surely be back for the M2 exit course!!
Please pass my comments along to the
instructors!

- Hi Bob;
I recently attended the M2 training
course this past weekend (Sept. 21-23) and I have some comments I'd
like to share with you:
First of all, the in-class instructor
Ron was very well versed during all our in-class sessions. He knew the
material and explained it very precisely without losing the classes
attention at all. He explained the safety and rules of the road and
got me so excited to ride, I just couldn't wait!
Saturday morning was a little harder
for me trying to grasp the whole concept for SEE and following through
with it. Again Ron was there to assist and remind the class not to
think about it too much and just do it. He was right - listen to what
they are telling us and it will work! We trusted him and it worked.
By the afternoon with the assistance of
your team: Tony, Mike, Gary, Bernie, Brian and Cecil & Matt (who
each took a day that weekend) I was well on my way to learning how to
ride safely. What an accomplishment these men helped me achieve!
I would like to say a big thank you to
all of them for helping me achieve this milestone in my life. I'm '39'
and so looking forward to all the great rides I'll take in as I turn
another chapter in my life and ride my way into '40'.
Mike and his singing kept me so happy
and Cecil's kind words and genuine affinity for people encouraged me.
I was upset to see Cecil go but then we got Matt and he was just as
great. Thank you!
Bob - You should be very proud of your
team and all their great experience that only years of riding can
teach you. I hope you'll share this note with the group. They all
contributed to a very important page in my life.
If there is anything you could improve
on the course - I'd say no - just "Continue to encourage the HAVE
FUN - that's what riding is all about."
P.S. My 17 year old daughter is now
looking forward to taking the course! The best $400 I've spent in a
long time.
Thanks again. Ride Safe!

- Good evening,
I took the motorcycle course on Sept 14-16 at Loyalist College. Our
instructors were John Milner and John Fox. These two gentlemen were
just EXCEPTIONAL. I must tell you that I now do not believe anyone
should be able to have their M2 without this course. It gave me such
useful and practical information that I feel is invaluable. Please
extend my thanks to John Milner and Fox for their outstanding coaching
abilities, I am truly grateful.
Best Regards

- Hi Guys: Bryce, Tim and Super Dave
Anita, Jestine and Amanda would like to thank you for your patience,
enthusiasm and teaching abilities. We started this course knowing
nothing, had never rode a bike before, were nervous, fearful and at
the same time excited. We want you to know that you taught us lots and
we are confident in our abilities with our motorcycling skills now.
Keep up the great work and hopefully we'll see ya on the open
road.
Thanks again, remember, have fun, smile and don't hit the guys in
red!!!!!!!!!!
HAPPY TRAILS!!!!!!!!
Amanda, Jestine and Anita
- Hi, I just finished the M1 to M2 course
here in Peterborough. Sept. 14 to 16th. My instructors, Ray, Rick, and
Bernie were a lot of fun. I couldn't have asked for better teachers.
The three really know how to ride and I can only hope that I'm able to
ride as well as they do in the future. High marks to all of them. I
will be back for the M2 to M in the future.
Thank-you.

- Hello, My name is Rick Smith and I
completed the M2 Course at Loyalist College in Belleville this past
weekend (September 14/15/16).
I have been away from motorcycling for 30 years and recently took it
up again. In the 6 weeks before taking the course I had
re-familiarized myself by riding my 2001 HD Fatboy. I went to the
course with 1000 kms under my belt wondering what to expect. Would I
be bored? Would I learn anything new?
I am pleased to say that not only was I NOT bored, I learned and
practiced several new things that I would NEVER have learned without
formal training. There is no way someone could teach themselves the
valuable skills we practiced. I wish more current riders would know
this.
John Milner and John Fox were our instructors and we all felt they did
an excellent job. They kept the mood light and fun while still
stressing the seriousness and importance of every key lesson upon us.
They worked with us one on one when necessary and always made us feel
that we could do it, even when we were having some difficulties.
I learned new skills and was reminded of ones that I had let lapse
over time. I will now ride with new confidence and safety on my
motorcycle AND when I drive my car. The roads of Ontario would be
safer if every motorcycle and even every car driver took this course.
Well done.
Rick Smith
- Hello:
I took the M2 Exit Course with Garth and Bryce in Peterborough. These
gentleman are great. They work wonderful as a team and they have a
professional way of teaching riding techniques without making you feel
overwhelmed or embarrassed. We practiced until everyone in the class
got it. I think I can safely say that we all felt well prepared for
the examination at the end.
Thank you gentleman. You were both great! Could not have done it
without you.

- Have you ever heard the saying that
physicians make the worst patients? I'm sure that goes the same for
trainers being the worst students. I'm a software trainer and have
never enjoyed being on the attendee side of any training on any
subject - until now. Mike, Fred, and Paul did a fantastic job with the
M2 course in Peterborough this past August 19. I appreciated their
patience, caring, encouragement, and enthusiasm for the topic at hand.
They rarely farted, and they gave me a passing grade at the end of the
course. What more can I ask for? So, thanks guys. I'll definitely be
back for the M2 exit course.

- My wife and I completed the M2 course in
Peterborough at Sir Sanford Fleming College, July 20-22, 2007, and we
had a fantastic experience. Mike Weil, Chris Landry, and Matt Otten
provided the most amazing guidance I have ever experienced in any
training course, they were stern but sincere, very knowledgeable and
very adaptable to each of the student's needs, and kept a great sense
of humour through the whole very hot weekend. I had ridden years
before, and I was humbled by how little I actually knew about riding
safely! I would say I went into this course with only 10% good skills,
I am much more aware now and I practice what I learned every day to
keep that good "muscle memory" I developed that weekend. I
ride a 2005 Suzuki Burgman 400, a "maxi-scooter" which
handles differently than a motorcycle because it has smaller tires, a
longer wheelbase, and an automatic transmission, but I was able to
adapt what I learned to my machine and I was surprised how much more
capable it was on the road, and how much more confident I became with
emergency manoeuvres. My wife Gillian was a total newbie, and not only
did you take her from nothing to riding, but she had so much fun and
felt so comfortable riding that not only does she actually ride my
bike now, we have purchased her a brand new Suzuki Marauder 250
so we can ride together. We are also lucky to live near the College,
and in the evenings we go to the very same parking lot we trained at
and practice the techniques we were taught. We switch bikes each
practice so we can both be confident on the different machines.
And keeping to her promise to Chris and Matt, she has practiced
enough that she feels she can handle the real road on her own machine,
and she truly enjoys the ride.

- Hello, For many years I have wanted to
ride a motorcycle and finally just signed up for the M2 course. I live
in Toronto but I heard that the courses through the Motorcycle Course
were one of the best and approved by the MTO. Despite it being a trek
from Toronto everyday, I wanted a reputable school and was not
disappointed. I had my apprehension that I would ride a bike in a
weekend but this course was so well designed and all the instructors
were very knowledgeable and engaging. I struggled with gear shifting
and with instructions and encouragement from them, I overcame every
mental and physical challenge and gained the confidence necessary to
ride.
Special thanks to Michelle, Ryan, Matt, Brett, and Jamie who not only
provided valuable knowledge, insight and experience but made the
course fun (darn it!) :) and inspired us to be good riders. Your
lessons will go a long way and help keep us all safe.
p.s. I am in ready position.... :)
Thanks!

- Good morning!
This past weekend I was part of the Intro course at Durham College. I
just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed my experience with your
amazing instructors! I had never been on a bike before this weekend
and they made me feel comfortable and at ease.
I loved how the course was broken down,
and started at the VERY beginning. The instructors were very patient
and encouraging the entire time and I never felt out of place or bad
for screwing up.
Jamie, Michelle, Matt, Brett, Ryan and
all the instructors there this weekend all deserve a pat on the back
for a job very well done! (Even when my bike wouldn't start and they
had to jumpstart it 12 times they kept calm and didn't mind helping me
out!)
Thank you for a great experience and
I'll see you for my M2 exit!
Lisa Bateman
- I just completed my M1 exit at St.
Lawrence on August. 19th. My instructors Alex, Martha and Tom were
very professional, personable and fun to be with all week-end. They
made the experience one that as a long time rider I was very impressed
and rid my self of some of the bad habits that I have picked over the
years. I will be recommending to any one whom I ride with, who are
either new to riding or experienced to take the course for knowledge
and fun, and they will not be disappointed.
Thanks again for the great week-end and I am looking forward to our
next meeting
Sincerely

- To whom it may concern,
I am originally from New Zealand and
have been officially riding motorcycles since 1984. I have just taken
the M2 course at St Lawrence College this past weekend.
Mike Gleeson, Harold and Jeanine were
our instructors and I wanted to comment on their high standards of
instruction. One of the hardest tasks as an instructor is to cater to
a variety of different levels and abilities. Our three instructors did
this perfectly.
From the moment we stepped into the
classroom Mike set a professional yet personable tone. Harold's
exemplary demonstrations were always completed with a smile and witty
comment which eased a number of concerned students. Jeanine was the consummate
professional who really related to the individual riders.
All three instructors were very
knowledgeable and friendly. They were quick to identify the individual
needs of the students and adapt accordingly. I would not hesitate to
recommend this course and especially the three instructors we had.
Thank you!
Cheers
Grant
- I just finished my M2 exit course and
leaving today I really felt I wanted to say thanks again to Gary and
Trevor. As I women rider I can be intimidated by the stereo-typical
guy scene and was pleased to find two other women in our group as
well. Gary and Trevor were most welcoming. The course was excellent
and those two made the weekend a great one! Their support was much
appreciated and the instruction was well taken. This course has helped
me to remain a confident rider. It was great to have instructors that
appreciate riding too.
Here's hoping this gets passed along to
you guys!
Thanks again.

- Hello: I completed the M2 Course in
Whitby this weekend and wish to express my thanks for all the
assistance and encouragement of your team. They are a well trained
team who put us at ease and kept reassuring us throughout the weekend.
Saturday morning when choosing a bike, I met Brent, who realized that
I needed a smaller size. He located a bike, adjusted it for me and
then later checked with me to make sure that the bike was a good fit.
His good nature and sense of humour immediately put me at ease! I
realize that I need to continue to practice but this course has
restored my confidence. Prior to this weekend, I was uncertain if
riding was going to be for me.
Thanks to all of you!
Anne Marie Batten
- Hello. I took the M2 Exit course this
summer. I was a little hesitant to go and complete the course,
however, as soon as I walked into the classroom there was Dave. I
could hardly believe that I had the same teacher, as I had for the
motorcycle training course. This was really important to me. I relaxed
and enjoy the evening.
Dave was very informative, and as
usual, I will probably have his voice in my head, reminding me to do
this, and not do that for years.
The first day we started out down on
Lansdowne. Funny thing, I avoided the city at all costs. You see I
live in the north and enjoy riding with peace and quiet. This was an
experience. Cars cutting me off, and pulling over with no signal,
people rushing everywhere. What am I doing here? Then I heard Dave's
calm voice, "Lynn, it is ok, you handled that really well. Turn
right at the next intersection." I thought to myself, "I am
ok, Dave said I was." and I turned right at the next
intersection. Throughout the day there were corrections, but always
with a calmness, that helped me to relax and enjoy the ride. I was
very tired by the days end, and I had gotten spoken to with a
sharpness by one of the other instructors. I was just about to cry,
when Dave came over, talked to me about the situation, and told me I
would be fine tomorrow. Reminded me of my test time, and left.
One of the ladies in our group talked
me into going for a coffee, and chatted with me until she saw me calm
down, and then we went our separate ways.
When I got up that morning, and headed
into the city, I decided that I was just going to enjoy the ride.
Dave had told us to enjoy the ride, be
calm and be aware.
This day was going to be like every
other day of riding, and test or no test, I was going to enjoy being
on my bike.
I tried to remember everything that was
taught to me the Friday night and Saturday.
I went through the test, and even
though there were a lot of turns, hwy. riding, lane changes, stops,
and all the fun things we do on bikes, enjoying the ride was priority
. At one point, I almost forgot they were there.
Before I knew it the test was over, and
I had passed. Thank you.
Well Dave, since then, my husband and
some of his friends went on a man ride though the USA. Girls not
invited.
I had to find something to do for the
first week of my holidays. So, I packed up my bike, and left the same
day that they left, alone. I drove out to hwy 28 with them, there they
went south, and I headed north. I went across to Renfrew, and
eventually Kanata the first day. The next day, through rain and sleet
and hail, I could hear Dave say, "get off the road, go and find
somewhere to get warm and dry until the rains let up." Which I
did.
I visited old Quebec city the next day,
just because I had never been there before. By Thursday I was headed
down through Maine. There I stopped for a bite to eat and a coffee.
One thing they don't teach you in the
course is," don't put your back to the window."
Sitting down for a few minutes, and
closing my eyes while I was waiting for my lunch to come, all of a
sudden there was a horrible crash, the building shook, and the back of
my chair was hit by the bench and table behind me. Thankfully the
people that had just been sitting there, had paid their bill, and left
only minutes before.
What was that? I got up, turned around
and saw the headlights of a tan truck in the window, and to my
surprise, a man had hit the log building with his truck, and still had
his foot on the gas.
What did I think? "I hope he
didn't hit my bike!" What a silly response.
Nevertheless, I got up, walked outside,
and moved my bike away over to the other side of the parking lot, and
went back in to eat. Well, of course it was about that time, that I
realized what had really happened. I was in shock, tears started
rolling down my cheeks, and I started to shake, my back froze up, and
my legs started to give way. But, the man that hit the building came
over to me, and started to talk to me.
His first response, "Man, I am
glad I didn't hit your bike!" We laughed.
He told me stories about his great,
great grandfather, and how he invented the first Indian motorcycle..
well, I forgot all about how I was feeling, and just listened, as he
talked, and talked. Eventually the police came, and took my statement,
and when I drove away, I saw the old man walking back to his truck
with a tire iron, to try to pry the bumper back from his wheels, so he
could go home. Wow, what a day! I made it to Augusta Maine that night.
Through the next few days, I went to
New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Conneticut, Mass, Vermont, and back
across through New York State at the ferry on the Cape to Wolfe
Island, another ferry to Kingston and then home.
9 days later, I had made my first solo
trip. What a rush! The roads I took were 45 to 50 miles an hour, with
lots of curves and hills. What a beautiful ride.
So Dave, just one suggestion to your
students, "Don't put your back to the window when you get off the
bike, and don't park your bike in front of a window."
Sincerely,
Lynn Duffy (Peterborough)
- Good evening,
I graduated from the M1 Exit course in Whitby at Durham College on
July 29, 2007. This was something I never expected to do.
In early May 2007 I purchased a
motorcycle from a friend and was so very excited about riding and
being in control of my own bike. Although nervous but maintaining a
positive attitude, I approached riding cautiously but
enthusiastically, and found that I lost that momentum very quickly in
trying to master a skill of riding. You know the old saying - never
let your husband teach you how to drive....well, that goes for
motorcycle riding as well. Not only your husband, but your friends. My
husband and friends being motorcycle enthusiasts were very excited for
me and tried to offer advise and instructions at every given moment,
pointing out things I was doing wrong and providing examples of how
each of them ride. Although this was with the best possible
intentions, everyone has a way of explaining things, and over the
course of about 1 1/2 months, I was all but defeated. I had lost my
enthusiasm, and my positive outlook, and to be very frank my
confidence wondering how I ever though that I could ride this
"thing" and stay alive. I found everything about riding a
motorcycle extremely stressful, not relaxing by any means, and I just
couldn’t face getting back on it. I got to the point that my nerves
were a wreck just gearing up with my jacket, boots, helmet etc, and by
the time I was dressed, I felt sick and just couldn't bring myself to
go down the street. I parked my bike in the garage in early June and
hadn't rode at all, since that time..
I had already registered for the M1
Exit course back in May when I received my M1 licence and purchased by
bike. As I had already spent the $ I decided that I would just go for
the experience, and just have a weekend away, even if I just sat on
the sidelines and watched that was fine for me.
Walking into the classroom on Friday
night, and hearing Chris speak along with Ron and the others, it made
me wonder if I could actually accomplish riding. I left on Friday
night after the lectures still wondering.
Saturday morning, I was extremely
hesitant in starting the day by "picking" a bike. As the
class is making their choice, Ron comes along pushing this little Red
150cc Honda and says to me, "here this is made just for
you". Well, that was just the beginning of a great fun filled
confidence building weekend. No one yelled, (except Gunnery Sgt John
and his very wonderful animated explanations), no one pressured, no
one over explained and they all used language that we could
understand. While novices circled them these very brave instructors
stood in places I never would have, and provided encouragement and
standing there gave us the confidence that they trusted us to control
the bikes, even if we didn't trust ourselves 100%. I will never forget
Trevor saying as I'm doing a tight turn around him "look at me,
look at me, look at me, now look over there - pointing to a point in
the sky that I was hopeless at trying to see.!!!!"
Let me just make a long story short by
saying that I have never met a more patient, polite, caring,
passionate and trustworthy bunch of instructors. I have taken a lot of
courses over the last couple of years and believe me, there is not one
thing that these instructors said, that was not logical, proven and
above all true. Each and everyone of the 8 instructors, Chris, Ron,
John, Cecil, Gary, Trevor, Matt and Tim were extremely experienced and
knowledgeable and made this course that I was dreading FUN!
Thank you motorcyclecourse.com for
training your instructors with this much professionalism, and above
all, sending these guys to teach me. I now have an M2 licence, and I
am back on my bike enjoying every minute of it. I'm still cruising
around parking lots practicing, but I'm looking forward to the day
(very soon) that I will be confident enough to go out in the traffic
and trail along behind my husband and friends and enjoy the ride under
my own steam.
Thanks again, Yours sincerely,
Sue MacArthur
- Greetings,
I have just completed the M1X course at St. Lawrence College - from
the 27th-29th of July, 2007. My instructors were Mike, Ken and Martha.
I want to congratulate all of them for an outstanding job they have
done in taking someone like me, and most of the class, who had never ridden
a motorcycle before, and have made me into a confident and informed
motorcycle rider. I was very impressed with their knowledge, skills,
and ability to show the class the various skills. They worked very
well together and if could recommend them to teach any of my friends,
I certainly would. I am not someone who usually writes in to thank or
congratulate people, but I felt the need to this time.
Congratulations to you and your organization. Congratulations to Mike,
Ken and Martha!
Thank you,
Fr. Theologos Drakos
- Hello,
I took my course the weekend of July 27-29th. I really enjoyed the
course materials & the organization of the deliverables. It was an
excellent course, where I learned a lot. The instructors were
fantastic and gave excellent constructive criticism. I would recommend
this course to anyone.
I really think - Ottawa should have the m2 exit test available at
Algonquin college, I sure would take it.
Regards,
Émilie
- Hi.....I graduated from the M2 course at
Fleming College on May 27, 2007. I had only ever been a passenger and
I was an extremely anxious student....actually, I registered for this
course on two previous occasions, but always chickened out and
withdrew. My instructors were Anita, John and Chris and they were
absolutely fantastic. The quality of instruction and skill of the
instructors was exceptional. They inspired faith, confidence and
belief, particularly in their most nervous student....me! They exuded
capability and certainty, even in the pouring rain. Thank you Anita,
John and Chris for encouraging and supporting me through this very
challenging growth experience! See you on the road sometime!

- Hello Motorcycle Course staff,
I just had a blast taking the M2 course
in Peterborough at Fleming college over the weekend with three great
instructors Mike Weil, Chris and Matt. (my apologies for forgetting
their last names)
I wanted to thank them again for the
excellent course and help that was given. My riding confidence and
skill improved by magnitudes even after the first day of riding. I
only had about 3 weeks of riding under my belt when I took the course,
but had already picked up some poor to dangerous habits from self
teaching and badly inaccurate riding advice from well meaning friends.
I will recommend to anyone who's
looking to get into motorcycles to take their M2 training from
Motorcycle Course before even sitting on a bike. The instructors
worked up from the basics to remove any bad riding skills to make
riders of any level much safer and more aware. They were also
friendly, professional, helpful and humorous; it would have been
nearly impossible for so much good information and skills to be
absorbed by students from instructors with a more distant or formal
approach.
Motorcycle Course's high success rate
and satisfaction of the group reflects the effectiveness of their
teaching well.
It was a lot of fun, I would take it
again in a heartbeat!
Thanks again,
Ben Crowe
- Hello,
I did my M2 course this weekend (July 20-22, 2007) at Sir Sandford
Fleming College in Peterborough. I just had to let you know what
phenomenal instructors I had. Mike Weil, Chris Landry and Matt Otten
were fantastic. They were very supportive, understanding, and patient.
They were great teachers and made sure we had fun and had confidence
in ourselves. I highly recommend this program to any new and old bike
riders. I will never forget this experience, and I have the
instructors to thank for that.
Thanking you sincerely,
Twyla
- Just a short note, after completing my
M2Exit Course. Like many, I rode years ago, and have recently rejoined
the crowd. Both my wife and I attended the M1 exit and then this one.
What a great couple of days. Garth, Bryce and Trevor were superb.
Really upped our game in a short period of time and taught us lessons
that made sense and will stick forever. I feel more accomplished and
prepared. Really excellent. I doubt my partner would have passed the
M2 exit without their attentions. Now, she looks forward to the next
riding vacation.
Thanks for all that!

- I was privileged to have just finished
the M2 motorcycle training course at the Whitby Durham College site.
What an amazing experience!!! Positive affirmations, patience, humour,
clear and succinct directions, non-judgmental, and all-in-all...an
incredible learning experience.
Ron was tops at presenting the
material, while David, Tim, John, Michell and Ted shared their
collective wisdom to us...along with Ron...on the parking lot.
The good news...we all drove our bikes
back to the barn...which meant a passing grade for all...but it would
NOT have happened without this highly skilled team!

- Hi I just wanted to say a special thanks
to the Women/Men that were very instrumental helping me get my M2 (Jun
22/24 /07). As far as I could remember my motorcycle experience was
minimal, even though I had my own bike is was hit and miss for me. Its
the first time I ever had anyone teach me about riding. I always
consider myself to be an excellent rider to my knowledge I was wrong.
After taking the training course at Durham College I realize how much
I need to know before I can become a better rider.
My one pet-peeve is that the completion
certificate should have the individuals name pre-printed to make it
look more official.
Sincerely,
In His Service

- Hi Bob
Thank you for all the great
information. I just wanted to let you know that I completed the
motorcycle training course this past long weekend at the Whitby Durham
College campus. It was a fantastic course. I enjoyed myself
tremendously. All the instructors were fantastic and very supportive.
I was always nervous when asked to do something new but as soon as I
got going I was amazed at how quickly I became comfortable on the
motorcycle. I was surprised that you could have 40 beginner riders in
one parking lot all learning how to ride.
I do wish however that we could have
spent a little time on actually shifting and downshifting the gears. I
am not quite sure when I should be changing gears and is it necessary
to downshift all the time when stopping. I was riding a Honda Titan
125 and was actually able to get the speed without having to shift
gears. I did spend most of the time in first gear. I would guess most
of the other riders have some knowledge of shifting and down shifting.
However I have never driven a standard car and the gears are new to
me.
I have purchased a Suzuki Maurader
250CC and am teaching myself shifting and downshifting just by driving
around my subdivision.
Once again, any suggestions would be
very appreciated. Also do you know of any clubs that are for beginner
riders as my subdivision is going to get very boring.
Thanks,
Susan
- (first of all, I would like to say that
I'm sorry for my horrible English grammar, I hope you will still be
able to appreciate the content of this message)
Mister,
I'm witting to you this email to talk about the course I took during
the weekend of the 22-23-24 of June. I would like, first, to say that
I really enjoyed the course. I think that the course is really good
and that everybody should take it (especially the ones who ride a
motorcycle).
The instructors, Rob (Ron ?,, not
sure), Harold and Leo were really nice. They were helpful, good
instructors and funny at the same time, what made the course more
interesting.
I think that the course, the way it's
built (start without the engine on, etc.) is really good. So,
everybody (even the ones who already ride a bike) has to start at the
beginning. But, I would say that I would have like to have a longer
course (is it weird?). I would have been willing to pay up to 800$ for
the course for a course twice the longer. I mean, after the course and
the test, you are ready to ride, but... you ride only in a parking lot
and for the people like me who are more perfectionist or not confident
(I guess) it's difficult to go on the street and drive.... it was what
I was more afraid of. I would have loved it if we could have gone in
the street with the instructor. Maybe could have been a M2 part b
(facultative part), something like that. But, I talk for myself, maybe
it's not like that for the other students.... I'm just really nervous
when it's question of security heheh...
But, I have to say that I would have
never ride a bike without that course. That course gave me more
confident (for sure) and the desire to want a bike now (.. it's why I
got one last Friday :)). They gave me the passion of the riding, which
I'm really grateful of. It's probably why I wish the course was
longer, cause I liked it so much ehheh.
I'm lucky, my conjoint has been riding
for at least 15 years and is a pilote (of trade) so he is really
strong about the security, the security check before the ride, etc.
... so we went riding together and he was a good guide, like the
prolongment of the course.... but still it is my conjoint and I would
have been more safe with an instructor.... (and, it's more money for
you guys hehheeh).
So, that email is just to tell you how
I really liked the course, how the instructors were nice and how I
recommend that course to everybody. Thanks a lot for the
professionalism and the good course, because of you now I ride, I have
my bike and I enjoy it.

- l took the course on July 1st week-end
in Belleville at Loyalist College. I am 60 years old and have never
driven a motorcycle before and of course was very scared and nervous.
That soon changed with having John Milner and Brian Southwell as my
instructors. They are the most patient men I have ever met. The course
was amazingly hard for me at the start and I thought at times that I
would never succeed, but I wanted to learn all I could while I was
there. I was so proud to have finished the course and then I heard
that I had passed almost brought me to tears. Everyone that took the
course was cheering each other on and were giving little tips to you
like one big happy family. My only regret is that I didn't take a
camera to get a group picture. I will never forget any of them. Thank
you John and Brian love you both. I will speed it up a little....lol
Teresa
- My friend and I recently finished the M2
course in Belleville, it’s an excellent course a lot of good
coverage from learning to start your bike to safe driving techniques
for on the road. The instructors John Milner and Brian Southwell were
very thorough they spent extra time where needed and made everyone at
all different levels feel very comfortable. Although the training was
intense they made it fun and memorable. Thanks for a great experience.

- I just finished the M1 to M2 course at
Fleming College in Peterborough and it was fantastic. It was a great
learning program for those who have never ridden before and even those
who have. The instructors, Bryce, Dave and Michelle, were very
supportive and thorough in their teaching of theory and practice.
The course included practice of
everything from learning about the mechanics of a bike, learning to
maintain and winterize a bike, learning to start, changing gears,
emergency stopping, swerving, cornering, uphill and downhill riding.
I wasn't sure about riding a motorbike
but after taking the course, it gave me the confidence I needed. I
would recommend this course to those who are interested in riding a
motorbike or just as refresher training for more experienced riders.
Thank you to my instructors.

- Hello! I wanted to comment on what a
great course you people have. I took the M2 course in Kingston on June
8th, 9th and 10th with Instructors Bill, Leo and Sean and did I ever
enjoy it. From the first night, I was impressed. The course material
was presented clearly in logical order and the instructors don’t
rush anything – that was great for me as I was a complete newbie!
Even with a power failure on Friday night, Bill kept going with great
humour and obvious mastery of his subject.
Out on the weekend, all three
instructors just knew how to work together as an amazing team. They
had one instructor explaining what to do as the other two demonstrated
while each move was called out ahead of time as if the whole thing
were choreographed – it was just seamless. The pace of learning was
perfect; we got plenty of time to hone our skills at every step of the
way. Even the students who struggled were able to get a little extra
attention without the rest of the group being affected.
In particular, I want to mention how
patient and supportive our instructors were this weekend. It’s
obvious to me and everyone in my class that they love what they do and
truly believe in what they teach. Their philosophy of wanting to make
sure there are safer riders on the road really shows through with the
time they took individually to help us understand our errors and what
to do to correct them. As a result of this course, I am confident I
will ride safely and with piece of mind.
Lastly, while the course was
informative, effective and very enjoyable, it was kept fun and light
hearted by excellent humour. Our instructors certainly do have a gift
as teachers. Having had the role of instructor myself in various
capacities, I was so impressed by their ability to command our group.
I only wish that every course people took was in an environment as
supportive, effective and stress free as this one is. My compliments
go out many times over to the instructors and the organizers of this
course.
I would like to end by saying I had a
fantastic weekend and will be back again when it’s time for my M2
exit. Thanks so much!
Sincerely,
Edwardo Branscombe
- I am not sure if I am following the
correct protocol but I just wanted to share my comments and thoughts
regarding the fantastic weekend my husband and I shared in
Peterborough.
I am a new rider, in fact I have very
little experience even sitting on a bike. This year my husband and I
purchased motorcycles. Naturally, my husband has ridden for years and
had in fact taken this course previously but due to time constraints
and working let his license lapsed.
Although the weekend was extremely hot,
the rain held off!!, but the instructors (Chris, Jamie and Trevor)
were mindful of the heat and gave us many breaks which was great. It
is amazing to me that even in the heat I did not want to stop. I went
to the course with a tiny bit of knowledge and left feeling immensely
better. I realize I need practice, but I now feel I have a better
understanding of the bike I ride and feel more in control. Recently
this past weekend, I set off with my husband on a trip, initially I
thought we were heading to Campbellford and we ended up in Coehill. I
just did not want to stop riding. It is an awesome feeling to be in
control. During my ride I remembered many of the things I had learned
the previous weekend and was surprised and pleased that I was
controlling my bike and able to enjoy myself at the same time!!!!
I understand I need practice and that
is how I will improve but I certainly recommend this course and have
even encouraged my son to take it, the skills gained are invaluable
and I look forward to attending for my M2 exit in a couple of years
time.
Thank you to Jamie, Chris and Trevor,
your support and positive attitudes have certainly made a huge
difference to me as a new rider!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sincerely,
Karalyn Cobourg, ON
- Hello, my husband and I took the evening
course starting June 3 at Sir Sandford Fleming College in
Peterborough. We both passed the M2 course. We just wanted to thank
all the instructors, Gary, Brett, Anita and Bernie for a terrific
course. I had never rode a bike before I arrived the first night, and
even though my husband has rode for several years, he took the course
with me. He too, realized that he had a lot of bad driving habits and
was able to correct them throughout the course. I was put at ease when
I met Anita and she assured me not to worry, that they would teach me
everything I needed to know.
What a terrific course! We had a lot of laughs and a lot of fun. I
learned more in 4 nights than I ever thought possible. All the
instructors brought a very high level of expertise, knowledge and
experience. They were always encouraging, supportive and ready to help
in any way they could.
The instructors are the main component
to the success of any course. This one was no different. They were
always happy and fun, yet they got the job done at the end of the day.
I still can't believe the way they taught so many
"non-riders" in such a short period of time with such a high
success rate. We both plan to take the M2 exit course as soon as we
can.
I feel that I am now entering a new phase of my life and I can't
believe that I waited this long to learn to ride. I am 39 and can't
wait to spend many years driving with my husband and several of our
friends. I have already recommended this course in Peterborough to
many of my non-riding friends that are now interested after I was able
to take the course and pass with such success.
A sincere thank you from both of us for such a great course, and from
me for introducing me to a whole new world of riding.
Sincerely,
Angie & Kevin Lane

- This past weekend I completed the M-2
motorcycle course at Loyalist College in Belleville. I have held an
foreign motorcycle license since 1990, so am a fairly experienced
rider so was a bit surprised to find that on my return to Ontario I
had to start at the M-1 level and work up to a full license. Having
said that, I found your course excellent. I learned new techniques and
had some faults corrected. Your instructors, John Milner and Brian
Southwell had just the right touch to give confidence to riders with
little or no experience, while at the same time teaching an old dog
like me a few new tricks. The days passed quickly, we had a lot of fun
and I will definitely be back to complete the M-2 Exit test with the
Motorcycle Course.
Congratulations on your excellent organization.
John Clay
- Great course. I have some riding experience and comfort on 2 wheels from motocross/trails, yet gained a lot from your instructors.
Even got to sample a little rain and gain some confidence on wet pavement.
Well worth the money!

- Hello!
I took the M2 course in Kingston this
past weekend (May 25-27). I had never riden a bike before and was
somewhat apprehensive! Your instructors, Alex, Jamie, and Bill put me
at ease right away. They are professional, encouraging, provided
constructive feedback, and encouraged us to have FUN!
I learned many valuable things - all
things that I will keep with me on and off the road.
I highly recommend this course to
anyone who wants to ride. In fact, this course should be mandatory.
Sincerely,
Paula Muis

Dear Bob Weil,
I would like to thank you for allowing
me to retake the M1 Exit course. Things certainly turned out very
differently this time.
When I arrived early on Saturday I
spoke to Anita about my unsuccessful attempt at the course in the
fall. She immediately helped me find a suitable bike and went out of
her way to make sure I was comfortable and at ease.
Throughout the day Matt and Fred in
conjunction with Anita were encouraging, positive and uplifting. The
day ended on a positive note for me.
Sunday was exceptional, I not only
passed the test; but feel that I was treated fairly and with respect.
I learned far more on Sunday and gained confidence which was not the
case the last time.
Anita, Matt and Fred are exceptional
instructors as well as extremely caring individuals, and deserve
praise for their work.
I would never drive a motorcycle
without taking this course, as I stated before, but now feel I'm ready
for the road.
Thanks again to you and my instructors
and I wouldn't hesitate to promote this course to anyone if the
opportunity arises.
Sincerely,
Ann Abbott
- Dear Friend,
I am writing you this letter to give
you some feedback on the M2 Course I took at your Whitby Campus on
April 20-22, 2007.
First of all I must commend your Instructors on a job well done. They
were all very professional in manner and very cheerful, patient, and
knowledgeable. The course outline was well thought out and thorough.
The short films on each chapter were just the right length to convey
the message for watch topic without being too long to lose anyone's
attention span.
I am a Driving instructor for Transport Training at ONTARIO TRUCK
TRAINING ACADEMY in Oshawa. I can relate to many things taught in the
course and how it is laid out. I would like to offer a couple of
suggestions to you (these may be of a biased opinion) which you may
want to consider. I feel that not enough is being taught to new
drivers about Truck Driving and feel these helpful hints are even more
important to a new Motorcycle driver as we are obviously talking about
opposite ends of the size spectrum.
When a truck makes a turn, especially on a city street, many times
they are forced to start in one lane and then turn into another lane
before making the actual turn to another street (this is known as a
BUTTONHOOK), The blind spot on a truck is very large and we cannot see
motorcycles a lot of the time when making these turns. These lane
changes could come on either side of the truck at any intersection
depending on the size of the intersection.
I have noticed motorcycle drivers riding within a few feet directly
behind a transport to (I assume), stay in the draft and reduce
turbulence. This is very dangerous as trucks have been known to lose
many parts such as Landing Gear Footpads, Brake linings and many other
objects which are heavy and deadly at high speeds. Unfortunately some
truck drivers do not yet take pre-trip inspections seriously.
We teach our students that when on a highway, just because someone
exits, do not pull up beside them as I have seen numerous times when a
vehicle driver realizes they have the wrong exit and pulls back on the
highway with no regards for their, or anybody else's safety. Also, if
you are in the middle lane for any reason on a highway, do not pull
back into the slow lane at any Off or On ramps as merging vehicles are
hard to see and read.
I would once again like to thank you for your course as it has made my
driving much more fluent and confident since learning about "THE
EYES". I would recommend this course to anybody who is beginning
to ride and values their safety. Please feel free to contact me to
discuss any of these issues or any others you may have in regards to
trucks and bikes sharing the road at any time as I would be more than
happy to speak with you.
Thank you for your time and consideration into this matter and I am
looking forward to hearing from you in the near future.
Sincerely,
Robert Cochrane
- Good Morning: As a proud graduate of the
M2 Gearing Up Motorcycle course, I wish to express my sincere
gratitude for this awesome course. My son and I took this course this
weekend under the guidance of Ron Hare at St. Lawrence College in
Kingston, Ontario. What a fantastic instructor!!!!! His two assistants
Jeannine and Rick were just as fantastic! I went into the course
with a huge fear of turning and leaning. My fear was that the bike
would fall over. At noon on the Saturday I was ready to walk away. I
was sooooooo nervous, I just couldn't imagine getting over my personal
fear. However, after talking to Ron and his encouraging words, after
lunch on Saturday, I took a 180 degree turn and I found myself doing
figure 8's, the serpentine turns, small circles, large circles. I was
doing it!!!!! My fear had subsided. The "eye" instruction is
invaluable. I began to relax and have fun!!!!! I was eager and ready
to learn on Sunday and my expectations were met fully. The emergency
situations instructions, again invaluable! I cannot put into words the
value of this course. I feel it should become "mandatory"
for all new motorcyclists in Ontario. The wealth of knowledge that
this course offers is soooooooo important. I can relax and enjoy my
bike, knowing that I have the skills and training to be a safe rider.
A huge thank you for offering such a wonderful course. A huge thank
you to Ron Hare and his assistants. Both Trevor and I are ready now to
hit the road, have fun, and be safe.
Thanks again,

- To whom it may concern, This course was
one of the BEST educational courses/experience that I have ever been
involved it. I just completed the course a few hours ago and wanted
thanks and congratulate all of the instructors and people that help
make a course like this happen. I am the type of person that gets
nervous easily and considering that I had not rode a motorcycle in a
long time I was leery about people watching me, but again it was
great. At not one time did I get too worked up. It was a relaxed
atmosphere and was fun. Again THANK YOU!
To everyone involved keep up the good work, and I WILL see you for my
M2 Exit

- Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to
my three instructors from the motorcycle course that I took the
weekend of May 4th, 2007. Mike, Ken and Martha took a girl who knew
absolutely nothing about starting, shifting or riding a motorcycle and
taught me all of the above plus more. Their enthusiasm and optimism
made this last weekend a great experience for me. Keep up the good
work guys and once again thanks a million. See you on the road!!

- I have just completed the M2 course in
Belleville (6 to 8 Apr) and even though it was quite cold, the
instructors, Bill and Devin made it very interesting and challenging
and their instructions was absolutely fantastic. Their enthusiasm and
professionalism towards this course and motorcycling safety in general
was definitely contagious. Now I know why this course had been so
strongly recommended and I personally think that all riders should
have the opportunity of been instructed by these two gentlemen. Thank
you for a very rewarding experience.

- I attended the M2 course offered at St
Lawrence College last spring, and first of all would like to thank you
for providing such an excellent program. Both the program and
instructors (Karel Vanek in particular) were fantastic. I was recently
at Tony's Cycle in Kingston inquiring about getting a KE100 bike like
the ones used in the course, for personal use around my cottage
etc...I was advised that your program would no longer be using the
bikes and were likely to be getting rid of them. I would like to know
if I would be able to purchase one of the bikes when available.
Thank you very much.
Jeff Fanning
- Hello, I took and passed the M1 exit
course in Whitby April 6-8. I have ridden bikes for over twenty years.
The last 8 I have not ridden and my motorcycle license lapsed. So it
was time to start all over again through graduated licensing. I took
the your course last weekend and mostly looked at it as a two benefit
deal. Lower insurance and an in store credit at Mackie H/D. By Sunday
afternoon I had not only learned I had several bad habits for riding
but I found myself correcting them. On the limited time I have been on
my bike (crap weather) since the course I have kept the bad habits
from creeping back. So, to my surprise, not only do I get better
insurance and an in store credit I will spend foolishly no doubt, I am
a much better rider.
I credit my new found safer riding
skills to the instructors. I very quickly liked the personality of the
course channeled through the instructors. The communicative skills
they used were encouraging, intuitive, supportive and the flow was at
a pace where new riders weren't lost and experienced riders weren't
bored. With several different instructors at any course you would
expect different levels of attention, knowledge and commitment. I
found none of this. I was impressed with how all instructors acted in
the same professional manner and all with the same apparent knowledge.
To illustrate a point. During the final
testing on Sunday afternoon a girl new to riding dropped her bike. As
the instructor explained the ramifications I was walking by and from
the little I heard he did so with an incredible amount of sincere
compassion, kindness and caring. I felt not only that she would be
back but she would be back and pass.
You see, I have spoken at regional,
national and international seminars on communications, team building
and crew morale. I not only came away a better rider I also came away
with more knowledge for the next round of seminars I speak at. When
the time comes I will no doubt take my M2 exit with your program. I
wish you the best of luck and continued success.
Best Regards,
Peter Lucas
- M1 exit to M2 - Apr 6, 7 & 8
Until April 7th, I have never ridden a motorcycle before. It has been
my desire since I was about 7 years old. When I was told to take an M1
exit to M2 training course, I believed that it was mainly to save on
insurance. What I did not understand, as a new rider, is that it is
mainly to learn how to ride a motorcycle; the insurance part is just a
perk. It is now clear to me that it is very important that every new
rider should take some type of training before they get on a
motorcycle. Not only am I glad I invested in a motorcycle training
course, but I am especially glad that I took it at Durham College in
Whitby. My first experience on a motorcycle was a very happy one and
it is one that I will never forget. I can’t remember when the last
time it was since I had so much fun; even on the coldest of weekends.
Furthermore, I cannot begin to explain how great of a job the
instructors did; their knowledge, experience and camaraderie was
simply – amazing! I strongly recommend this course to anyone who
wants to learn how to ride.
Scott Olson (Pickering)
- I just completed the M2 course in
Belleville yesterday and after a very cold and wet week-end, I am very
pleased to have graduated. I had never rode or expierenced a
motorcycle/ATV with a clutching system, so I was a very nervous
beginner. I cannot say enough about how well the course is set up, and
what a fantastic instructor Tim Brown was. It was through his very
patient and encouraging teaching technique that helped me get through
a few of the aspects I had trouble with. I can honestly say that he is
the reason I was able to complete the course with as much confidence
as I did. He should be commended for his abilities and I would
recommend anyone to take the course with him as an instructor.

- Hi, This past weekend, April 13-15, I
completed the M2 Course through Durham College. Being a beginner, I
was very nervous and wasn't sure what to expect. The three senior
instructors were Chris, Bernie, Trevor and they did a tremendous job
heading up the weekend. All the instructors who participated made you
feel at ease, were very patient, supportive and kept telling us to
smile....because you know smiles were free. By end of the weekend
everyone had permanent smiles. I sincerely want to thank all the
instructors for an amazing experience. This is a "must go
to" course and would highly recommend it to anyone who has never
ridden or even to others who have.
On a separate note, the seniors dealt with much difficulty with the
AV/Computer equipment. To make the day run smoother and more
professional, I am suggesting updated equipment would be in order.
Cheryl MacKinnon
- Hello my name is Jordan and I just took
this course the past weekend at loyalist college, I think this course
was really excellent and well set up with awesome instructors. I
learned a lot from it that I didn't know before even after riding my
bike for little over a year. Only things that sucked was the rain and
cold wind on Sunday but we got through it. Thanks for such a great
course.
One question, now that I have got my M2
the M2 exit course provided is that the same thing with routines and
such or is it differently set up or kind of a refresher with a test at
the end?
Thanks again :D
Jordan
- Hi Sandra, I just completed the M2 exit
course (and passed) and thought that I would send my comments via
email as we did not hand in our evaluation forms.
- Yes, it was a good experience.
- I liked the fact that is was a
refresher of the previous course and the instructors made sure
that we were aware before going on the road.
- Yes, the course met my
expectations.
- The instructors (Tony & Randy)
were great. They made me feel relaxed yet made sure that I was
learning and following the instructions.
- The instructors and fellow
motorcyclists were very patient with me as I ran into bike
problems with my battery - the problems was resolved but I did
appreciate all of their patience. After completing both courses, I
believe that these courses should be mandatory for anyone going to
get their motorcycle license.
